ROOTS

In February 1999, Depoe Bay Winery’s tasting room opened in the old Dairy Queen next to Gracie’s Sea Hag, a longtime favorite for both locals and visitors. Later that year, the tasting room moved a few doors down to our current location, where today we continue to bring you your favorites to enjoy with family and friends.

Nehalem Bay Winery, our main tasting room, is located in a lush green valley where the Coast Highway (101) meets Highway 53. The tasting room occupies the historic Mohler Creamery building, where cheese, milk, and butter were produced from 1909-1959 as part of Tillamook Creamery’s Co-op. What began with Nehalem Bay Winery’s first release of blackberry wine on April 1, 1974, quickly expanded to include traditional white and red varietals.

As a third generation, family-owned and operated small business, we appreciate your support and enjoy being part of this community of wine-lovers. We look forward to welcoming you at either tasting room location.

Come have fun with us!
