Later that year, the tasting room moved a few doors down to our current location, where today we continue to bring you your favorites to enjoy with family and friends. Nehalem Bay Winery, our main tasting room, is located in a lush green valley where the Coast Highway (101) meets Highway 53. The tasting room occupies the historic Mohler Creamery building, where cheese, milk, and butter were produced from 1909-1959 as part of Tillamook Creamery’s Co-op. What began with Nehalem Bay Winery’s first release of blackberry wine on April 1, 1974, quickly expanded to include traditional white and red varietals. Our Pinot is light, earthy & oaky, with a hint of spice and a light ruby red color. A great wine that pairs well with Chinook Salmon, Thanksgiving turkey, duck, venison and a wide array of cheeses. Cabernet A full-bodied red with dark fruit notes and a pleasing, jammy mouth feel. Merlot Garnet colored, aromatic, with hints of plum. Ripe fruit with a good balance of tannins and acid. Santa's Elixir Our Holiday-spiced wine is a cranberry wine with mulling spices added and is intended to be served warm, like a mulled wine or gluehwein. Served this way, it makes the house smell festive! This was a limited release during the holiday season, but due to its popularity we now produce it year round. Honey Mead Our sweetest wine is sweet like ice wine. 100% Oregon Clover Honey. Sweet Red A red Concord grape wine that tastes like a ripe backyard grape— one of our most popular seasonal wines. Rhubarb It tastes just like Grandma's rhubarb pies— with a pleasing tartness Pear Made from the Bartlett pear in a lighter, crisp style.
